"Repair" alterations? Can it be done?

Question about repairs:

I bought the new Clemance wallet that has a leather zipper pull tab. Could I ask for a "repair" to get a metal pull tab? I really prefer the sturdiness of a metal pull, but love that the Clemance is thinner than regular Zippy and has pretty interior color.

Has anyone gotten a piece with a leather pull tab replaced to a metal one?

Or made any other "repairs" asking for something different? Basically asking for a repair that's really a small alteration?

Can/will LV do such a thing??

They will not alter style, leather or hardware on any bag. So the answer is no unfortunately. They are very firm in this.
