I have a gorgeous 1941 Dinky 24 that was stained by hair dye at the salon. I was devastated when it happened and other than using coach leather cleaner, I never tried anything else to remove the stain. Does anyone have any experience removing a stain like this? It's not horrible and I don't want to make it worse by removing the actual color from the leather. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, ladies! I posted in the Rehab and Rescue Club and hopefully someone will have a suggestion. I keep telling myself that it's not horrible and that most people would never see it, but it screams at me!

Good thing it's not worse. Hair dye is pretty permanent as far as I know. GL - maybe someone has advice. sorry this happened to you. I've thought of this when going to the salon. most of my bags are dark colors but I'll be sure not to bring a lighter colored bag to the salon in the future. mine goes on a table off to the side when I get color. I suppose something could splash over there but the color is pretty thick. do you know how this happened?

It was next to me in the chair, so kind of wedged between my body and the side of the chair. I noticed it when I stood up to walk over to the sink after my color processed. As soon as I saw it, I said "Oh no! There is hair dye on my purse!" The stylist felt horrible and wiped it with something before I could tell her to leave it alone. That actually made the stain bigger because it smudged the dye. I don't know if it dripped off the brush or how it got on there. It didn't come from my fingers because they were clean. She felt really bad, but it was an accident and it wasn't her fault. She wasn't slopping the color around or otherwise being careless. Live and learn!!!
