Removing stain from box?

I recently purchased a purse for my mother and while inspecting it, I had placed the box on the coffee table which I hadn't realized was dirty. It's not a big deal as it is on the bottom of the box, but the stain itself is quite large and very obvious if one were to look under the box.

Is there any way to remove stains from LV boxes? I'm not normally particular about it, but as it is a gift, I'd rather give it in impeccable condition

I think you can better ask LV for a new box and mention what happened, I can’t see a stain getting removed from a box.

Yes you should be ok with receiving a new box, maybe take a picture of the old one and show the receipt to be sure they will accommodate your request.
