Pretty sure I know the answer, but figured I would ask you experts— is there any way to remove the heat stamped personalized monograms from LV bags (NOT the large mon monogram decorations— just small heat stamped initials on the leather)? I’m considering putting a couple of items up for sale and I’m sure the initials would significantly impact the resale value. Thanks!

There is a thread on this, so definitely do a search.

I know you can remove the color with acetone, but regardless the resale value will be less because there is no way to get rid of the imprint itself, just the coloring. Personally I would just leave it. Fashionphile does buy hotstamped items if you want to go that route, Yoogis does not.

There's definitely a thread somewhere on here on someone successfully removing a hot stamp (the actual imprint) with an iron. I'm not saying I would try it but there is a thread on it, and how they did it.
