Rectangle link necklaces

I’m trying to decide if I want to invest in a rectangle link chain.

I typically don’t invest in solid 18k jewelry unless it’s a classic piece and am concerned that this style may be too trendy.

Would love opinions!

I’ve been seeing lots of rectangular link chains around lately and I like the look because it seems fresh and modern to me. At the same time I don’t think the shape is so out there or trendy that it would ultimately feel regrettable. Personally I’ve been eyeing this David Yurman Madison chain.

I tried on the 18” version and really liked it. This is the 3mm which is more delicate. Cant decide if I prefer something that makes more of a statement or a layering piece.

Zoe Lev is another jeweler I’ve been eyeing.a little more substantial but not sure if I prefer the 16” or 18”.

This style has been popular lately, but I don’t think it’s too trendy because it’s classic and versatile. Plus it can easily be layered with other pieces.

Much more classic then you’d think, especially layered with other simple classic thinner chains IMO.

I really like this style. I remember my mom wearing one like this when I was a child, and I would like one myself. They are classic, and for a while we’re so hard to find. I’m glad the popularity is coming back.

I love this look and would like to get a YG 18" chain. Haven't decided on brand yet.

So I ended up ordering the Jennifer Fisher 20” long link chain. One of the reasons I chose JF is bc the length is adjustable and I also like the option of the lovely removable charms.

I will prob most wear at 16” and asked about the excess length being bothersome. The extra length can be clipped up which is a plus.

I won’t receive it for 3-4 weeks but will post pics once it arrives!!

I ended up getting the David Yurman Madison Extra Small Chain. It's a more delicate gauge than the one I posted above; the width of the links is 5.5 mm.



This is the one I got, but mine is 36" in length.
