Recrystallized alexandrite

No but from a quick Google search, seems like it is produced/recrystallized in Japan. I’m guessing it wouldn’t be considered a natural alexandrite with an origin of Brazil.

I read too that they used the low grade natural alexandrite , pulverized it and took out the inclusions and then recrystallize it. I wonder if you can call it lab grown given that they still use natural stone but still made in the lab? Does it have any value at all? I got one from japan and it looks beautiful inclusion free

Enjoy your alexandrite. Honestly, I don’t know what resale value natural alexandrite has unless it’s a large stone. Perhaps there isn’t enough info yet on whether or not to characterize recrystallized alexandrite as lab made.

Thanks i dont even know how to categorize it! But i like that it has some natural elements on it
