Recommendations for retinol serums

Allies of Skin, Mae Love, 111Skin just make sure that you apply a sunscreen (AM)as retinol & its
various formulations can leave skin sensitive & prone to redness
Will also comment that retina by prescription can take some time to adjust to as skin
can be prone to dryness, redness & sensitivity to sun. Many of us start in the fall & continue
into spring but take a break during summer, JMO

Prescription, cheap and pure!

I suggest having it prescribed by your dermatologist. I find that the tretinoin prescribed by my dermatologist works so much better than anything else I had tried in the past, plus it is cheap! Only $5 a tube with my insurance.

Unfortunately, this is not possible in Germany :sad:
It would certainly be the best solution,but I have to find another way

If you are adventurous;
I bought mandelic acid from them.
the products are fresh, and super affordable.

Don't use retinol. You'll just get more irritation but very slow results. Use retinal (as in retinaldehyde), the stronger retinoid. Less irritation, faster results

This is true and one of my favourites is Medik8. They use a stepping system so that you don’t get irritated.

I have to say though that one session of fractional laser was more beneficial to me than a year of skincare. I now do a top up once a year as I do like the sun. Downtime was no more than one week, it cost less and I don’t have to faff around with various lotions.
