I'm starting to look for a watch for my boyfriend for Christmas. I'd like to get him a more classic watch with a metal band (either mesh or link) and a round face...nothing too big or flashy - simpler is better with him. I'd like the face to have a sapphire crystal and would like the movement to not require a battery replacement (either Ecodrive like Citizen has, automatic, mechanical, etc.). I also wouldn't like to spend over $400. I've been looking at every store I can think of (including online stores) and haven't found quite what I'm looking for! Does anyone have any suggestions of brands, models, etc.? Thanks in advance!

Well, if you "only" going to spend around 400 I would consider a watch whit quartz movement. Because the movement in cheaper autamitic watches is'nt the best, and no matter how cheap the watch is, its going to need service after a coupel of years, and it will cost the same as the watch. Tissot have a new line called Coturier, that you can get in Automatic Valjoux (a very good movement, same as in Tag. Raymond Weil osv...) in quarts and in a new automatic movement ETA has made spesially for Tissot. The good thing with this movement is that it dont need service, if you have problems they change the whole movement...
