I just got a huge promotion that requires travel. I used to leave my laptop at work but now I have to take it with me every day. I don't want to use the plain nylon bag it came with plus I wanted to treat myself as a reward. I wanted a messenger style bag but am not a fan of anything currently on their website. Any suggestions for something I can look for on ebay?

Congratulations on your promotion! Keep in mind that anything made of leather, especially anything vintage, is going to be heavy.

NSP is our expert on briefcases and messenger bags. I bet she could recommend something.

I love the Madison Drake, like these: http://www.ebay.com/sch/Briefcases-...a53920863&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&_ssn=8190leeg

These styles are gorgeous: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Hampt...545?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4198dc9699

If you want vintage, the carrier or musette are beautiful but pricey.

For recent bags, the Bleecker totes have wonderful leather.

I love them all! Thanks :-)

I am one who believes most Coach women's business bags don't seem sturdy enough to deal with heavy items such as laptops and it's accessories.

I tend toward the men's line which seems sturdier. You have to figure out if you want a tote or a briefcase. Some people don't like messenger briefs that have to be snapped or buckled or secured in some fashion.

I like the leather lines. If you go for something in British Tan, watch for coffee and tea stains, etc. it carry a Heritage tote for work. I also have used canvas ones that I can bang around without worrying. Suede works too.

Congratulations on your promotion!

I agree that leather briefcases and messenger bags are too heavy to use as a laptop bag and fabric is more comfortable and practical. Since you will be traveling so much might even want to look at a backpack or a small wheeled carry-on bag.

But if you want a Coach bag (leather or cloth) then I also agree that the men's line has the best products; is there a Coach Men's Outlet near to you?
