  1. Hi,

Need some opinions on recolouring. I bought a medium beige double flap at a relatively good price (i hope). From a reputable preloved luxury reseller.
The condition is good. Except for obvious discolourations on the back and back edges. My plan was to recolour it

So i have a few queries.

    1) does recolouring lower its value and colouring it to black lower its value even more?
    2) it's a 15 series with no authenticity card. Will Chanel do the recolouring job?

  2. My friend had her chanel bag recolored years ago in LA ( I don't remember the name, but at that time it was one of the best). It was a beige lambskin CC flap. The bag turned out to be a little bit 'plasticky' which I assumed from the coloring process. Personally, I don't think it is worth it. The coloring was $500 and it was more than 10 years ago. If you are planning to sell it later I don't think it is a good idea to recolor it by a leather specialist. Go to Chanel boutique for any services and ask for their advice. If they are able to recolor it, at least you have a guarantee that the result will turn out close to the original color.
