I love this way of thinking ! You are so right ! It is to short !I would be more hesitant to purchase a white bag that was more of a crossbody bag, one that would hang and rub on my jeans and be susceptible to color transfer. With that being said, I own a chalk Chelsea crossbody [emoji23] I used it quite a bit last summer and I have a teeny tiny bit of color transfer from jeans on one corner. It doesn’t really bother me because it’s low on the back and no one will see it but me.
BUT I think a shoulder bag would be easier to protect since it’s carried under my arm and close to my body. If you spray it with a leather protectant and try not to put it on the ground then why not? If you would use it often maybe wipe it down once a week. Life’s too short. If you want a white bag get a white bag lol
Thanks for this input !White shoulder bags a MUCH easier to maintain vs. a crossbody or satchel. I had a Poppy quilted shoulder bag from 2012 and I never had any issues with it in terms of color transfer or getting dirty. I do, however, have to baby by Rogue satchel in Chalk because if I carry it long strap, I have to make sure it is protected with my spray or it could cause damage![]()
Maybe I will take the plunge ! ThanksI love white bags, and have about 5 right now. Only one patent leather Maggie turned yellow due to natural wear of patent leather but the other ones still look great after 10 years. I use Apple conditioner and rain guard and put them on high places away from the ground.
