Happy New Year Everyone. May all your Holy grail Bag Dreams come true.
I definitely want this bag but having a hard time deciding whether I want the Saffiano or Nylon version.
Can't see them in person yet due to U.K non essential shop closures. So if anyone has this bag and please help me out with the pros n cons that would be great. Thank you for any advice x

I have it in nylon and love it! I love how light it is and how easy is it to wear. Especially during covid. It has been the perfect covid bag. I use the little pochette for my hand sanitizer for easy access. I feel like for the price difference the leather is not worth it in this design. I have seen both in person and I say save your money and go with the nylon. Prada is known for their nylon so you can't loose here. I have no cons of this bag. If it gets dirty I wipe it with a damp cloth and it is good as new. It is super light and I know when I start travelling again it will be my go to as it is so light and can transform from day to night in a flash with the removable strap. Hope this helps!

Are the Re-edition 2005 nylons made in Italy or MIC?

I'm looking at buying a Re-edition 2005 nylon for my wife as her first Prada bag and am getting conflicting info from my quick search.

TIA

Funny that you ask this! Do I have a story for you. I really do love this bag but something sketchy happened to me. I originally bought my Prada re-edition bag from the Toronto Yorkdale boutique, came home and unboxed it. I heard rumours about this bag being made in other parts of the world so I checked my tag. To my horror I saw that the first bag I bought was made in Romania. I was so upset I called the store immediately and told them my situation. They said that was odd as all their bags are made in Italy. The SA spoke to her manager and said I must be mistaken. Well I said no I am not mistaken so they told me to come back to the store with the bag to deal with the situation. I showed them the bag that was made in Romania. This was clear on both tags on the pochette and inside of the purse. The SA apologized to me profusely telling me this is very odd and should not have happened as all their bags are made in Italy. She said she was going to destroy my bag and look into this. She then gave me a brand new bag made in Italy. To apologize she also gave me mini men's cologne samples and a nylon dustbag that I did not want. So it was a pretty lame apology gift. Overall, I was happy in the end that I got the bag that was made in Italy but this experience was definitely unnerving and if I did not check the tag I WOULD NEVER HAVE KNOWN that I was carrying a bag made in Romania and paid the same dayum price as a bag made in Italy. So my advice is check the inside of the bag for the tag before purchasing and make sure it is made in Italy!!! I really do love the bag but this experience really has made me not want to buy another bag from Prada again.

This part is what I really don't like about this whole business model. I understand trying to bring down the costs and moving some of the production outside of Italy. Prada has been making their stuff all over the world for years, it's no secret. Why would SAs lie like that? I also remember reading here on the forum some posts from about a decade ago. People were not able to find the 'Made in' tag anywhere in the bag. It would only have the 'Prada Milano' metal piece, but no tag. They assumed it was removed by someone prior to the sale because it said 'China' or some other place other than 'Italy'.

How long is the fabric strap for the nylon reissue? Prada website says 54 cm which is about 33 inches...seems like not a long enough strap for crossbody? I have a larger chest and need a strap length around 38/39 inches to accommodate my bust. Thanks!!
