Has anyone redyed their Alexander Wang bags before? I have a Fumo wallet wristlet in the citrine color, and the color is starting to look pretty bad. The bright yellow is fading, and a lot of the natural bumps in the pebbled leather looks discolored. I thought about getting rid of it, but I was wondering if maybe I could dye it black. Balenciaga subforum has LOTS of threads, but I'd love to hear of anyone's experience with AWang bags and dye jobs.

in the store where i usually bring my shoes they also re-dye bags. the owner told me it should be possible with quite every bag- depends on the leather. but im not really sure about that... bring it to a professional you have a lot of trust in ;)

Ah, if you have any success, will you let me know? I have a AW Kirsten in cream that is very dirty. I am thinking about dying it, but I was quoted in the region of £200-300 by the Handbag Clinic. I would rather put that towards a new handbag. If you find a cheaper alternative, I would love to know.

I've never dyed Wang pebbled leather, but think it would take dye well. I have dyed a pepe Givenchy with penetrating Fiebings dye, and shoes with a Tarrago self-shine dye. The Fiebings soaks in and doesn't totally coat the color, so you'd want to choose a color that wouldn't "clash" with the acid...for example, several coats of the navy blue dye might result in a deep bluey-green. The tarrago is more like a paint and sits on top of the leather so you can do any color from black to white and in between. It does create a patent-like sheen when dry. Good luck!
