in LA these stands that sell rc helicopters seem to be everywhere in the malls. i finally gave in and bought one (the eagle rock plaza and sanita anita mall to be specific)

they are great gifts for christmas, or perhaps a little something for yourself :graucho:

does anyone have any experience with these or bought one recently or plan to buy one soon?
 
I bought a fancy chopper and never mastered flying the damn thing! Parts are not cheap, but these seem a bit more user friendly.

Ha, how much did you pay for it? You definitely own one of the larger, pricier ones. That is the kind the Bruce Jenner enthusiasts own

I purchased a couple for my cousins. They are great toys, but the wing turny thing gets gummed up with hair (I really need to vacuum) and stops working.

Yeah, I had the same problem after I flew it in my grandma's room. Took me awhile to pencil it out. It's like wow, there is really a lot of hair around here
