I have spent some time here enjoying all that you have to share, and wanted to share some of my thoughts regarding my handbag obsession and see what others might wish to add based on their experience. Some of this is tongue in cheek, so please take it in the spirit in which it’s intended.

1) I obsessively browse resale sites mostly for research and educational purposes (Yeah, right!)
2) Yes, I really do need several dozen black leather bags
3) The word residue makes me want to run screaming
4) Seeing terms like suede and Vernis in pre-loved listings strikes fear in my heart
5) There are bags on pre-loved sites that are so grotty, I can’t click off fast enough and desperately want to shower afterward

Am I the only one, or are there others?

Please help me feel not so alone.

I say I've reached purse peace but then I come onto PF and suddenly my heart desires all the bags!! 😅
Yes, I reached Purse Pause(although with a wishlist of 4 or 5 bags, but no hurry for a new bag).

Now I’ve just sold a bag and am surfing every designer/bag maker in the world looking for a new one, although I sold the bag because it was too small and I’d hardly ever used it!

I love browsing resale sites. The inventory is always new!! Unlike brand websites that have the same stuff if you check them daily (as I do, haha)….or….multiple times a day (as I do, hehe)

Browsing Action Pics on tpf always sways what I want. I’ll see someone with a bag and think, it’s cute! Then I’ll spend the rest of the day looking at pictures of it. Until tomorrow when I see another action pic….and on and on it goes…..every day I change my mind about what bag I should get next.

The resale sites are definitely fun. It’s interesting to see what sells and when with discounting. How low will it go?

I really appreciate seeing all of the amazing bags and photographs here. It gives me inspiration for potential purchases, or for styling my current bags. Perhaps I “need” charms more than bags. That would help to change things up without overwhelming my storage space.

I knew I would find like-minded people on this forum.

Yes! Bags are my life. Don’t forget about special bag straps too. They can freshen up a bag with a new look instantly.

About charms….among the stupider things I’ve done were to buy and sell two Fendi charms, only to buy them back again because they were too cute. Ugh!!

I also love browsing resale sites, not necessarily to buy anything but just to see what’s out there. You never know, you might stumble across an amazing deal!

I find a lot of the time, I don’t like how a bag looks on a website or photo, but when I see someone wearing it in real life as I’m out and about - damn, mind immediately changed, and I inevitably fall in love. I hated the Dior saddle until I saw someone wearing one, she styled it so beautifully and then immediately I had to have it. Call me easily influenced!

1) I obsessively browse because I'm searching for bags my PF friends are trying to find...not for me (   ).

2) I have the same need for many, many black bags.
3) I sell three and buy two more...and somehow expect to pay down my CC .

4) I swear I'm on Ban Island after every "last" purchase.
The logical side of me thinks I have too many black bags. The emotional side says there is no such thing as too many black bags.

I like the term “Purse Pause”. I may have briefly engaged in one of those. Briefly.

Guilty! I sometimes browse multiple sites multiple times per day. Sometimes things change quickly. Sometimes inventory sits. You never know when the perfect bag will pop into the inventory.

It’s amazing how styling can elevate even bags that are amazing in and of themselves!

Thank you for the reminder about straps. I’m trying to reinvent myself and my collection. That could also help. Maybe a twilly? So many options.
