Rain Boots

I am travelling for a long weekend. The forecast is possible showers only.

I'm thinking really on our fly in day. I was going to wear them on the plane and then if we are out and about walking around, especially before we can check in to the hotel, I don't want my good sneakers to get ruined in the rain if it does rain.

Is it acceptable to wear LV Drops Half Boots when it isn't raining? I personally love them and they are so comfortable, but don't want to look like a weirdo walking around in a shiny rain boot (LV or not, haha) when it ends up being sunny most of the day and then a shower in the afternoon.

Would you wear your designer rain boots even if it isn't raining (and it was a cool day)?

Depends where you are going.

I live in Massachusetts. We never have any idea what the weather will be. I have ugg short rain boots. I put them on all the time and it then it is sunny, even though if was supposed to rain. Lol.

When I travel outside of the New England states I wear my ugg water shoes.... which look like the ll bean or sperry duck shoes. Not as noticeable as my boots.

I never knew LV made short rain boots. Now I have to get a pair. I love yours!

To quote Mr Big: Abso-effing-lutely. I would wear the hell out of them if they were available in size 43.
At the end of the day, they just look like Vernis. Which is cool.

I purchased the hunter ankle boots just for the reason mentioned above. I use them spring, summer, and fall and they’re small enough to pack in a tote bag. In my opinion I could not wear taller rain boots in warmer weather because I get too hot since they are rubber.

I get too hot wearing rain boots all day if it’s not raining. So it’s not really about whether it’s acceptable. Wear whatever you want. I’ve seen people wear flip flops in the rain... who am I to judge...
