Let me start off by saying i'm not a huge fan of QVC, but a couple years ago I bought a couple Judith Ripka pieces that were very nice. I just posted something about one of them in another part of this forum so I wanted to check the site out and see if they were still available. While there I saw some Tacori pieces that looked nice, in particular a pair of large "diamond" studs. They were very highly rated and reasonably priced. I'm very tempted, I have a friend who owns a jewelry store who has always talked me out of real studs(she feels they are the most lost piece of jewelry and you have to spend a lot to get quality you'd want ie "fire"). Any thoughts on these ladies? Thanks!

I got some Judith Ripka pieces and I love it but I don't know about the other designers though. QVC has reviews on their website, hopefully that gives a feel of the product..

I forgot to say they are the Bloom cut studs, one pair a little over 2ct tw the other a little over 4ct tw. Both get rave reviews. Both more than reasonably priced.

I have the 2ct tw pair and they are great. I originally got them as "test" studs to see if I should get a real pair of diamonds, but these are so nice that I don't feel the need for the real anymore. I rarely wear a stud earring, but when I do, I reach for these a lot.

I haven't seen the Tacori myself. The only complaint I've heard about it is that the platinum plating is sometimes not applied evenly to pieces, so the silver beneath shows through. And it tends to wear off easily on some pieces. But I would think that would be less of a possibility with earrings than it would be with something that is subject to more wear like a ring or bracelet. I have QVC CZ studs and a couple of pendants and I like them a lot.

My friend has the 2ct pair and they look great! I am thinking of getting a pair for myself since I would agree with your friend and not want to spend a lot on diamond studs since I rarely wear earrings.

I have a few Tacori for QVC pieces and love them! They are my "fun vacation" jewelry that I wear when I'm out of town and they look almost better than some of the real stuff I have.

I really like the ones I have. I like my QVC stuff for trips and I can not worry about anything happening to my REAL stuff. In fact I have packed a few fakes JUST IN CASE when I did wear my real stuff.

Thanks all, I can't wait to get them. I'm pleasantly surprised by everyone's input. Now I just have to wait for delivery, I more instant gratification! Now I'm looking at that beautiful ring too!

I buy from QVC all the time and have purchased a Tacori by Epiphany ring and it was excellent quality. I ended up returning it because I decided the style wasn't for me, but it wasn't due to any problems with the ring itself. The bloom cut studs are on my wishlist. :smile1:

I do read the reviews and about 50% of the time I can say that I disagree entirely with them lol

LOL I do too. A lot of the bad reviews (at least on the jewelry pieces I've purchased) have been from people who either didn't watch the on air presentation or who don't understand the way clasps work. I can't even tell you how many bad reviews I've read on pieces, because the clasps are "too hard to use" when they aren't at all.
