Very sad. I'm starting to realize my age, as many of the icons I grew up with are slowly dying. :crybaby:
I always knew him as an older gentleman, but he was quite handsome when he was younger!
RIP Mr. Jones!

He has been around forever it seems. I forgot about him playing trumpet way back in the day and how Ray Charles taught him how to arrange and compose music before even he - Ray - was famous. And he lived in Seattle. For whatever reason that seems the strangest part to me. Lol.

When children (even though adults) share these profound insights about their father, outside of their professional
career, it is just pure love in their hearts. What a dad, role model & friend he must have been
"Q" & "D" rest in peace, you were a music icon the likes of which we will not see ever again.
Glad that so many of us will remember your music & the joy it brought to us
