so I went into H in Bordeaux last thursday (1 week today), and asked for any Lagon Ulysse MMs, which they had none...so she said Paris had some and she could call them. I said sure (half being serious and half surprised that she would offer).

Meanwhile, since last week, I have felt less enamored with Lagon (go figure). I'm thinking more and more than Etoupe is the color for me (which they had two of in the store).

So, fast forward to today...Ariane from H calls and says my Lagon Ulysse is in. But, I'm no longer sure about it. Should I:

a) go in, thank her, and say I've changed my mind, I want the Etoupe (somewhat intimidating)
b) go in, thank her, and suck it up and get the Lagon (less intimidating)
c) not go in at all, assuming they will forget and send the item back (I return to the US in 3 weeks) (least intimidating)

Keep in mind that there is a slight language barrier and I'm not entirely sure how to say "changed mind." Change d'esprit? haha

If I want to get Ulysse MM in Etoupe, then I would do a) CALL HER OVER THE PHONE, "thank her, and say I've changed my mind, I want the Etoupe".

If you buy the Lagon, you would not feel good about your purchase. Hemes products are too expensive to settle for the wrong reasons.

If you do c) "not go in at all", hoping that "they will forget and send the item back", then the SA will feel unhappy. I am sure she will hold the item for you. You do not want to cause her inconvenience and anxiety. She may be faulted by her manager for holding an item that does not sell.

You are right. I should probably go with the Etoupe.

Unless of course, I get the Lagon, sleep on it (not literally of course ;)), and then if I don't like it, give it to mom. My brother actually brought this up and I think he's right. My mom loves colors and I need a gift for her anyway.

I would go in and look at the Logon. Once you see it, you may love it. But if you don't love it, ask the SA if they still have the Etoupe and then say you will choose between them and then choose the one you like best.

I have found that it is fun to have H's bright and beautiful colors in lesser expensive items such as the Ulysse and I save my neutrals for handbags. I have a Lagon Carmencita on my Orange Ulysse and I love the color!

Thanks all! After that 2nd post I had to leave because the H store closes at 7pm and I didn't want to go in tomorrow or saturday (rain expected). So, the Lagon was beautiful...and I took it. I may still give it to mom...but for now I will enjoy it!!! The SA was really excited about it...hadn't seen the color yet (a little surprising). Turns out her son goes to the same business school that I've been at for this semester...so we chatted about that.

Also picked up a twilly for a friend's birthday. Will update with pictures later ;)

Nope - I'm in Bordeaux, southwest France. The boutique here is lovely...just enough of everything :)

Here is a quick pic of the Ulysse. It really is much greener than the picture. I think Mediterranean Blue is most accurate. And yes, that is my mounting change pile that I refuse to get rid of. No Comment.

How funny...I was briefly considering that last night...like every time I think about spending $300 on something silly (like Louis Vuitton change purses...:confused1:)...I could go get another Ulysse. At some point I would run out of things to write in them though :p

And yes, Mediana, once I saw it I loved it. Once I'm back in FL and make my way to Naples, I'll see if they have any Lagon, and then maybe mom will get something...hahahahah ;)
