Questions about caviar leather in old and new bag

Hi ladies! I'm just curious..alright, I admit, a bit paranoid re the leather of my chanel bags. Is it normal that my caviar medallion's (series 7) leather is more stiff, rougher and a bit matte than my 2010 jumbo caviar flap? I noticed that my 2010 jumbo caviar has a softer leather and shinier too. Is this normal? Thanks!

Personally, I find all the new jumbo/maxi/gst have shinier and less texture(pebbles) feel to it-and not as stiff. Also, there maybe some caviars that are different in textures and shine and siffness amongst the 2010 as well. This is NOT the soft caviar-which is soft and slouchy. This is suppose to be the stiff caviar but with a totally different feel.

Did you notice notice the caviar texture on your medallion being also more "pebbly"? there is a thread regarding matte vs shiny caviar on the jumbo. You should take a look at that.
