Question - six digit serial numbers

Hi there,
I’m in the process of getting an older, vintage Chanel flap authenticated (but also impatient lol) - it was purchased from The Real Real but it has only has six digits starting with 16XXXX & I just read somewhere that bags with six digits are fake: “If the serial number on a bag does not follow the Chanel formula or has more than 8 digits or less than 7, it is most certainly a fake.” - https://www.codogirl.com/blogs/news/chanel-authentication-guide

The serial numbers tell you approximately when the bag was made. Six digits is 86-88. It doesn't mean your bag is definitely real, but it's not necessarily a signal that it's fake.

6 digits can be legit. Bought one similar to your situation from yoogi’s and got the green light from etinceler afterward.

Hi,

I am about to purchase Chanel classic flap - small and it has serial number 1XXXXX.
Exactly the same as yours, the number print on white sticker without CC logo.

It's so hard to find any website posted an example about this 6 digits model Since it's really old.

Could you please confirm is it authentic?
