Hi guys!

I'm looking at a pair of Gucci Jordaan loafers on a secondhand site (Tradesy), and noticed that the sole is different from the photo on the Gucci website (they have a black center, are missing the engraving that borders the sole, and have fewer bolts, as seen in the attached photo comparison).
My question is: has Gucci changed the soles of the Jordaan loafers over time, or do the completely smooth sole mean that these are unlikely to be real?
I would really appreciate it if you could lend me your expertise as I've never seen the shoe in person am a little unsure.
Thank you so much in advance!

I purchased a pair with the same sole from TRR and had them authenticated here on tPF...and they were ok. I am assuming that Gucci tried and then moved away from this type of sole.

Here was my post (#12,977):

There was recently a pair listed on FP with the same sole:

Thanks so much for your help! I was a little thrown off by the soles, so I'm feeling much more confident about the shoes now. Your pair are gorgeous!

Similarly, you will find loafers in Summer often different inside (with a cotton lining to the upper) to those sold in Winter (loafers in Summer where traditionally worn without socks)
