Question re amarante vernis business card holder

Hi. I want to get a business card holder to use as a wallet in smaller bags. I've never seen vernis in person or the color amarante. Is this color more purple or maroon? Is it possible that the color could rub off on a lighter fabric, for example an azure bag?

It's more maroon eggplant than purple. The glazing part can definitely rub onto light fabrics.
