Question on Manolo Blahnik pumps - true to size or fit smaller?

I have a question about the sizing Manolo Blahnik pumps for those of you who own them and are familiar with them.

Do you happen to know if a size 39 EU classic black leather high heel dress pump 3 - 4 inch is a true size 9M US or do these fit smaller like a 8.5M US or a full size down like an 8M US? What has been your experience in the sizing?

I find most Manolos are a half-size small. With that said I prefer a tighter fit in a shoe like the BB so my foot doesn't fall out.

If you size half a size up and it's a pinch loose, you could always stuff the toe with tissue though!

Manolos and many other Italian brands use EU sizing.
A 39 EU is an American 8.5. Same for Tod’s, Bottega Veneta, Aquazzura etc. IN MY OPINION ONLY.
I wear a standard US size 8 and can practically buy blind any size 8 shoe online and it will fit (with a few brand exceptions). I wear a 38.5 in the brands mentioned above.
If you wear a 9 US, I would advise you to buy a 39.5 for MBs.
However, we should ask @audreylita - she will know.

Hmm, I don't own an Manolos but I just went in to try on a pair of slides last week and they were a perfect 37.5 which is my normal size. I'm a 7.5 US.

Though slides may be a different than pumps. But from what I've heard, Manolos tend to run true to size.

I own several pairs of BB pumps and one pair of flats, all in size 35. I normally wear a US size 5-5.5 depending on brand (mostly 5). I think Manolos run true to size as opposed to, for example, Louboutins, where I need a 36.

I think shoe sizes convert differently though once you get to US size 8-9+.
