Has anyone noticed the Hermès accent grave in the written 'Hermès' on their scarf is written more like an aigu? The Hermès wordmark has the accent going the correct way.

I was researching the animals on the scarf and came across a facebook page where someone had said the accent looked different, and there were a few commenters who agreed. I checked mine, and sure enough the accents are going in different directions.

Yes it was a 'glitch' that slipped through the design, at the time on checking-mine purchased via Hermes.com it has the same typo. Was it on Hermes Scarf Guides facebook you saw that mentioned? Think I read it there (could have been on a thread here). I remember at the time people were wondering if in the future any fakers would not have noted the error and 'corrected' the accent.

Yes facebook was where I saw it, the page came up when I was researching the scarf. Someone from the UK posted it and made a joke about Brits not being good with accents (I don't think they meant it in a snarky way, pretty sure they were British as well.)

I looked on TPF but couldn't find any threads that mentioned it specifically. It looks like that glitch was in all the color ways, not just the one sold in Canada for the 150.

I find little glitches like this interesting because it adds to the human, hand-created aspect.

I have CW 12 and just inspected my scarf. The same accent like yours, it's a glitch for sure.

Oh that may be the reason for the increase in price for this scarf I was looking to buy. I purchased three of these scarfs to be used for the lining of my husband's H suit jacket a couple years ago. I meant to purchase one in the same color for me to wear with him but didn't. So I kept looking for many months and suddenly the price went up about $300! I guess I won't get one now.

I'm glad you posted this. I learned something. Thank you!!!

I noticed it was way above retail in some cases as well and couldn’t figure out why. But perhaps the glitch makes it more ‘collectible’?
