Question for female Cartier watch owner who perm hair

I just perm my hair in very curly style as I usually do twice a year, by using those chemical cold wave lotion (liquid) at hair salon by the Hair Stylist. During the process, the liquid was splashed on my wrist a bit. Now I noticed my watch case has a bit scratches-ish on the surface, wonder if you know those Hair perm chemical will do damage or rust on Stainless Steel watch case? As I am not sure if the scratches were from other cause, or not?

Your scratches probably came from normal use. Lotions would not cause a scratch. Discoloration maybe but not scratches.
