Question for emerald cut owners

Hello Everyone, I was wondering if you could help me! I recently received the Tiffany Soleste Emerald Cut, F, VVS1, 1.05c. Excellent cut, symmetry, and polish. In the middle of the ring at certain angles there is a stripe. Is this normal, or am I seeing a bowtie effect or shadowing from the setting from a substandard cut quality? Thanks so much for your help.

I'd go back to Tiffany if that is where you made the purchase for a clearer explanation on what you are seeing...
There should be no guessing as to what that stripe might be in the light..

I'm assuming it has to do with the faceting or windows. I have been researching this for a while now! Hopefully they can fix the issue. I love the EC because of how it elongates my finger, but if this severe shadowing is going to occur, I won't enjoy the diamond.

The faceting all lighting up or all being off is probably a matter of cut quality, but step cuts are a different animal. It isn't something they can "fix."

Re the horizontal line you're talking about, you're going to have to circle it. The only thing I see that might be what you're referring to looks like a reflection from underneath the stone of the ring itself. That could be related to the windowing of the stone. Partly cut quality and partly related to the type of cut itself. Again, step cuts are a different animal.
