Yes, I've always taken mine to a jewelry store. Save your links! I don't have a MK I have a TKO and after a year one of the links had cracked. Ceramic can do that, probably not often thou, I was using for sports. Still it's best to save those links.
 
Bring it to a Nordstrom or department store and ask them to do it. They will do it for free. Just don't mention that you bought the watch elsewhere. Those islands in the mall charge up to $15-20 to remove links. Its somewhat ridiculous.
