Yes, The original 2.55 did not have the cc's on it until much later after her death. So the reissue turnlock is what the original one looked like (except the original didn't say "Chanel" on the turnlock) and the Reissue chain is like the original which was in gold. It is reminiscent of the chains placed in the Chanel tweed jackets to ensure they hang properly.
The reason it is called the 2.55 is because the purse was launched in Feburary 1955. I hope that helps!
