Question about the new expandable

Hi guys, I don't own any Chanel bag as of yet and I am itching for one, however, I would like my first bag to be somewhat durable and classic... I've never seen the new flap expandable IRL (there's NO NM where I live :hysteric: !) and yet I'm wail-listed for the dark white flap expandable (thanks to the beautiful pics you ladies have posted  ). Can someone who has seen it let me know if the leather is extremely delicate and easily scratched and dirtied? any help is appreciated! Thanks!

My impression was that it was delicate (like the lambskin flaps) and not as durable as many of the other Chanels...certainly the white one would show wear more quickly than the other colors.

hmm... dilemma... should I stay on the wait list? I mean, it's a lot of money, esp. for a student... maybe I should hold off on Chanel until I actually make more money... though I really really really love this bag...

I'm waitlisted for the dark white. unfortunately, I won't be able to see it before purchasing since I live in upstate NY, so my SA said she would send it as soon as it comes in (that also means charging on my NM card). it's really amazing that there's not a NM anywhere but White Plains in the state of NY :wtf:

I know isn't it crazy?? I am about an hour norht of that NM...
The dark white is gorgeous but I think it will be hard to keep clean. Even the one at the trunk show looked a little dingy because of so many people handling it....

You're lucky to be only an hour north! I'm in Syracuse, which is about 3.5 hours away!!!! obviously I couldn't make it down for the trunk show... I think I'm going to get myself off the waiting list for this delicate bag (I really was planning to work it this summer! lol) and get something more classic and easy to maintain.
