Question About the Epi Sablons

Hello TPFers, I've been looking at examples of the discontinued Sablons. Can anyone tell me why some models have all square hardware hinges holding the handles, while some models have one square hinge and one that is rounded on the top? Hope I'm explaining this correctly!

The extended "rounded" portion of the hardware is meant for attaching an optional shoulder strap. The hardware is the same on Deauvilles, and certain other pieces that LV wanted to give customers the option of using a shoulder strap (on).
