I found a chain tonight that is a mixture of sterling silver and ''AG.'' The sales girl couldn't remember what ''AG'' stands for, but it's not a super shiny chain....it almost looks like blackened silver.

Any idea what AG could mean? Thank you!

Hey Crystalina! I've never come across a piece of jewelry stamped AG, but Ag stands for Argentum, aka silver, on the periodic table, so perhaps that's what it's signifying? Not sure if that's the correct answer though. Was it stamped .925 and Ag or Sterling Silver and Ag? Also, was it vintage? A lot of my estate pieces have variations on different metal stamping due to the colloquial usage of the time period. Sounds like a cool chain regardless, love the blackened look!
