Question about returns

So I bought the Tamara from mulberry.com and need to return it. As stated on the paperwork it says I am responsible for costs etc ...what is the most cost-effective way of returning it? Post Office special delivery is quoting £8.65 but UPS is quoting £21.65 on their website.Does this sound about right ? Can I return it to a store ?
Any advice gratefully received!

If you purchased from .com you will need to post back to the return address. The last time I returned a bag which I had ordered online, I posted it back in the same box via Royal Mail special delivery it was the cheapest option and its quite secure just make sure you tell Royal Mail the value of the item and they will price postage accordingly. If I remember rightly there was also the option of calling Mulberry and asking them to arrange pick up but that cost £25

£25 you're having a laugh !!! Royal Mail it is then ( saves hanging around for UPS too ) I'm already narked with myself for not ordering the Mitzy at the same time as the Tamara , was so sure the Tamara was 'the one' .....glad I don't change my mind very often and return stuff - could almost pay for an accessory with the money spent on postage this time round.

Sorry forgot to say Thanks Jaydee !

Hehe - glad it's not just me that does that! I'll start out feeling virtuous by returning and end up spending even more :shrugs:
btw is that a nifty change of your avatar pic this evening?!

You caught me ! I've been messing about with my avatar and signature , I need to do an updated family pic when Mitzy arrives ( I really hope she is a keeper - I've already added her to my signature ) I posted a family pic which I thought was recent but then realised 3 bags were missing.
At this rate I'm going to be on a strictly one in and one out policy.

As for the extra purchases when returning stuff - I'm really bad at this ...so much so that I class the return as a discount off the next purchase and think I've saved money

That's quite a collection to squeeze into one photo - v. jealous!
I think I need to go on a bag diet - of course the Mulberrys are the fruit & veg component so more is good!

I was told in Mulberry Westfield that stores accept returns from things you bought online - is this an option for you?

Nooooo! do they? I went there with my return item and they wouldnt refund or even exchange, particularly miffed if they gave me duff info as at the time they had the oversized OL alexa that I so desperately want now and I would have probably exchanged it

I'm sorry to hear, I was just told this by the manager when I was asking for help in regards to hunting down the Pillar Box keyring lol. (I had mentioned that I didn't want to order the one from the website as I was wary of ordering before I see due to a very lumpy keyring I saw previously, and that's when I was told that I can return an online purchase instore. I think I will ask again...)

Well Tamara has gone back £8.65 special delivery and a short time later Mitzy Blueberry arrived. I've been at work till late and was itching to get home ....excited and a little bit nervous in case she didn't measure up or I didn't like the colour .......tentatively opened the box and a wee bit of the blueberry leather was just poking out the dustbag ....I knew then it was love !! The combination of the silver hardware is striking and the colour really pops - chuffed to bits with her !
