Hi everyone! Happy New Year! I was lucky enough to be gifted both a 3 ct diamond tennis bracelet and a 5 ct diamond tennis bracelet from my wonderful husband for Hanukkah and Christmas!! My question is I noticed when I wear them with sweaters or wool coats, little fuzzies get caught in the prongs. They don’t snag my sweaters just little fuzzies are seen when I take them off. How is this avoided? I don’t want to hold these beautiful pieces in my jewelry armoire til spring when we aren’t wearing sweaters anymore but I’m afraid to pull out these fuzzies on a daily basis. Is there an easier way to remove them safely?
Also, can I wear my new tennis bracelets stacked or will the diamonds scratch eachother? I know only a diamond can scratch another diamond so this is also a concern.
Sorry for the stupid questions but I don’t want to destroy my beautiful pieces! Thanks in advance! ❤️

Congratulations

I don't know how you can stop the fibres (mine is bezel-set and still gets a few hairs trapped).

Diamonds can scratch each other so be careful

Congrats ! What a sweet DH!

Put the jewelry on after getting dressed, right before you leave the house
Take the jewelry off when you get home, before taking off your street clothes.

If I am wearing something fuzzy that catches, I try to push up the sleeves a bit. I also don’t rest my jewelry against the body of a garment that catches. This sounds like a pain, but it’s actually pretty easy

If you want to wear both together, I wouldn’t worry overly about scratches, but that’s JMO

ETA: Just realized that @missie1 would know all about this :)

Thank you! I do exactly what you said but I’m still seeing little fuzzies! How do you pick them out? My jeweler said to soak the bracelets in warm water then use a small teeezer but that scares me!!!

There are very thin spacer rings to wear near a diamond band, maybe there is a bracelet version you can use?
When we did my ring upgrades we added a very thin spacer band between my new engagement ring and new 5 stone wedding band exactly for that reason but my rings don’t move around as much as bracelets do if you know what I mean? I like that idea though!!

How about pull up the sweater sleeves (e.g. around the mid of your forearm)? That way the bracelet won't rub against the wool/fabric ... That's how I usually wear sweaters, always have the sleeves pulled up a bit ;)

Tried! But the sleeves kept rolling down. Also my wool coat sleeves seem to be causing fuzzies!

What a thoughtful and loving gift! I have the same issue with my TB but luckily it is fairly warm year round where I live. I would maybe try a silk twilly around your bracelet when wearing material that is prone to catching.

Just now seeing this …..you know me so well…I’m definitely going to stack tennis bracelets. I recommend wearing them a bit snug to restrict movement so that they don’t overlap.
