Question About Podium Order

Hello guys,
Just wondering for Podium orders, is there a chance that it might be rejected (like a SO)?
From my understanding, once the PO has been submitted, the store will be able to find out in a couple of months time whether the PO is alright or not.
Is that correct, or once PO has been submitted, it is just a matter of time for the PO to be delivered? Thanks!

It could be rejected but its not a condition on all PO some of mine have come some have been cancelled but in general......they come through!!!!

I see... so when and how do you usually find out whether the PO has been rejected or not?

Well darling in my case it's been irregular I ordered a 35 cm ciel matte croc Kelly and they said for a long time year and three months that it was coming then as of no where they came out and said it could not be done then I ordered a zebra inserted 35 cm this was cancelled two weeks after. But up to now my 35 cm vert emeraude Kelly in shiny porous with GHW is well into production or so I think my SA says only 6 more months tops so wishin....... hopin........dreaming......... you know the song hope it helps darling birkel

So it's correct that basically they can't find out when they are placing the order, but usually after a few months or so, they will be notified by the HQ whether the order has gone through or not? Is that correct?

Hmmmm not always see sometimes they say yes and check right away if it can be done like with my zebra other times they say yes and I think they even try but eventually note they just can't make it.and sometimes they say yes and it's yes or no and it's no .......... But a no will usually take very little time and will usually be cancelled fast so that you may place a rack order or another PO soon. Best thing is try and order more than one bag that way you have more chances or better yet this is what I do give your S.director options and ask him/ her to ask formally what they think, what option is more likely to come through. and so the seller at podium or department expert gives a more precise opinion and the SM orders the more eligible or doable option.hope it helps darling. birkel. Options are very good usually one of two or three tat you ask fir can and will be done!!!!

I see, thanks for the tip. I might give the manager a call and see if she already knew what's happening with the status of the PO then.

Sorry, I'm quite new...and this might be a stupid question. But what's a podium order? I know there's a special order...what's the diff between podium order and special order?!?

Special order is when you want to do slight customisation to the bag, eg. different lining or different colour on different part of the bag. Or it can be harder to get materials like Chevre now is an SO I think.

Podium order is pretty much your more regular order without customisation. I think it's mainly for the bag material that the store don't usually bring in. They will let you do SO if you are a good regular customer. PO is pretty much the same but to get SO takes a even better regular customer if you know what I mean, haha...

djmm, my SA placed the podium order in Paris in Feb but could only advise me whether the order has gone through or accepted by Paris in March.
I think it has something to do with how Paris allocate the bags after they consolidate all the orders in Feb.

March eh? So if my store also placed the order in Feb, I guess they should know the answer for the podium order by now already then?

these days, imo, anything can be cancelled or rejected EVEN if previously CONFIRMED.

what the store says doesn't really count. in the end, if they don't get shipment from France, they don't. PERIOD.

no explanation required nor will it be given. one would be LUCKY if an apology was even offered.

I just came back from Paris last month, and managed to place 5 podium orders of different bags and 1 special order. For the 5 podium orders, I was informed the next day that they have been all approved. For the special order, I was informed just last week that it has been approved.

For podium order, Paris now has a list which the SA checks every single day on what can be ordered. This list changes every day according to supply and demand. So, one day, you can order say a mykonos birkin, but maybe the next day, it's not offered anymore. So, podium order can be confirmed shortly now if you are placing the order personally in Paris. But I'm not sure how it is if you're ordering from another country where you have to go through your SAs or SMs.
