Question about older and/or vintage BV

Have BV bags always been lined in leather (when it's not obviously lined in cloth material)? Sometimes it looks like it's 'vinyl' from photos, but having never seen an older and/or vintage BV in real life, I don't know.

bv has used various linings at different times
now on some bags to cut costs they are using velour
but I have seen silk
I have seen suede
I have seen velour
I have seen leather
I have seen canvas
only limited editions, cabat and special orders get the metal plate

my vintage bag has the metal plate on the inside zip compartment

No, not the big plate with the numbers, but the small rectangle that just says 'Bottega Veneta'.

one other thing
your vintage bags are women's bags
I think this is a Men's messenger bag
I don't know if the men's bags have plates in them or not
but just like not all bags have names
I am sure not all bags got plates
if you are so in doubt don't buy it

Thank you SS. I'm not a vintage BV person which is why I asked. And I haven't ever bought a 'man's' bag before. :smile: but I have now! ;)
