Question about Market Tote

Ok, My fellow Coach gurus. I’ve gotten out of the loop when it comes to Coach shopping. I haven’t bought in awhile and was contemplating the Coach Market Tote in Midnight/Navy. Two different SA’s told me that particular color is being sent back to JAX today. Online it is now listed as an Online Exclusive even though it’s still in my local store. What does this mean exactly? Is the fact that it’s being deleted from boutiques indicative that it’s being sent to outlets soon?

Online exclusive means it is available to purchase online only, not in stores to see in person. If it is still on their website, it usually is not at the outlets. Only when it is gone from the stores and online is when the items tend to show up at the outlets. I find it strange that the navy color is online only, that's a basic/traditional color.

That’s the part that is strange. It was in two different stores by me and I was able to purchase it in store yesterday before they sent it back to JAX at the end of the day. It now shows up as being an online exclusive. In the past, when they “delete” a bag from stores it usually meant it was on the way to outlets not back to Jax to become an online exclusive.

I may be wrong, but I think that's something they've started doing lately. Back in May I was considering the black quilted Edie and the SA told me that they were getting ready to send their stock back to become online exclusives. I then thought maybe they would become part of the SAS in June but they never did and they are still full price on the Coach website.

I am wondering if it is just an inventory thing. Maybe certain styles and or colors sell better online and are less likely needed to be seen in person so they make them online exclusives? I really don't know Coach's logic on many things, so who likely knows :confused1:
