I'm having a milestone birthday in a little over a month and want to treat myself. One of the goodies I was planning to purchase is a Love wedding band, but I don't know if that is a good idea. I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthiritis in June. As a result, my fingers along with most of my joints are swollen. I'm not sure what to do because I really want the ring. I haven't started treatment yet and I won't until November at the earliest. I don't want to buy it now and later on it won't fit. Maybe I should just get a necklace and call it a day.

Early happy birthday! Have you considered the trinity ring? It is much more forgiving because of the three interlocking rings allowing some flexibility with sizing. I can wear it on different fingers depending on how my hands react to the weather whereas my love band is obviously more rigid. If your heart is set on the love band I would size a little larger. You could stack it with another ring that’s a little smaller when needed to help keep it in place. Or you could use those spiral silicone ring sizers you can get online for the days your ring fits more loosely. Hope this helps!

I agree! I have the rolling ring (Tri color trinity) and it's my most comfortable ring. I think you might have better luck with this ring than the LOVE. Especially, not knowing the future of how your joints will allow rings to fit. Happy big birthday!

A Cartier SA told me it’s easier to make a ring smaller but not bigger, they can add beads etc. better off going larger then you can always make it smaller later on if your swelling subsides if you need too. I have the wedding band and absolutely love it, it’s incredibly comfortable.

I just bought a love band precisely because my fingers often swell and my original rings don't always fit. It's been a great alternative. If I figure this out and/or lose weight and my original rings fit more often, I figure maybe I'll be able to wear it on another finger.
