Found a crazy good deal on a .30 round brilliant I'm making into a DBTY-style pendant. GIA Triple Excellent, F/SI1. $329, excluding the setting. I personally like it to lay in that little space right below the neck, which is what a 16" would do on me. But for those who have one in this length, do you find it twists and turns easily and if so, would a 18" be a better choice? Which length displays the little gem best?
tia!

I like the 16'' better and like you, I like for it to sit in the indentation right below the neck (the hollow of the neck). However I think the setting will dictate if it flips. I recently tried Forevermark's halo pendants and found that a flatter setting (if that makes sense) didn't flip. Bulkier settings flipped.

Do you mean a bulkier/thicker bezel setting flipped?.....

I have a bgd one w a 16 inch jump ring and 18 inch chain. It doesn't flip much when at each length but does move towards the right side. I love having the versatity of being able to wear it at different lengths.
