Question about cross body strap on Rhyder 32 Satchel

I'm really liking the green color of the jade Rhyder satchel. If I got this bag, I would primarily be wearing it cross body. From the pictures, I'm not sure if there would be any issues with the leather tearing, etc. where the strap connects to the bag? Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I have this bag in violet and I always carry it cross body. I've never had an issue with leather tearing or anything else. My only complaint is that it is a bit heavy when carrying cross body. If I was out shopping or doing something that requires a lot of walking, I would notice that my shoulder hurt after a while. Also, I put the base shaper from my LV Speedy 30 in my Rhyder to keep the bottom from sagging. Hope this helps! I love the Jade, it's such a beautiful color. I have the hang tag case in that color 😃😃

I never put my phone in the front pocket. I'm one of those people that keep my phone in the back pocket of my jeans. Lol. But, I would assume it would fit in there. I carried mine as a daily bag for over two months and it doesn't have a scratch on it. The more I'm telling you about it, it think I'm going to switch back into Rhyder out of my Speedy tonight. Lol

I have the Rhyder in Jade!! It is a lovely bag..... When I use it, I just carry it on one shoulder instead of crossbody. I agree that it is too heavy when it's crossbody. But since I'm quite short, 5 feet 2, I went to Coach and got them to punch extra holes for me in the strap so that I can wear it on my shoulder. Also there's no tearing at the sides and the leather is still doing fine. So it's a great bag!!! And the colour is fabulous. Whenever I carry it, people will just ogle at the colour. 😍

Do you keep your phone in the front pocket? I have a Samsung S4 right now so just curious if it will fit okay. Also, is the color more of a kelly green or more of a softer green?

I use an iPhone 5S and I always leave it in the front pocket with the turn lock. No problem. It's huge. I put my bus card and tissue packets as well.
Hmmm... The green is actually like Jade stone so I don't really know how to describe it. But it's beautiful. It seems to match with all colours that I wear. 😃
