Question about Chanel TImeless Pearl Necklace

I am currently in the "saving up" stage to purchase this necklace... Hoping to have it within the next few weeks...

My question is, are the pearls real? I know this is refferred to as "costume jewlery" but one of my co-workers just mentioned that she thinks the pearls are not real...

does anyone know that can clarify? thanks!

I have 2 of these and no I don't believe they're real - hence "costume jewelry" maybe someone else will chime in on this, though. by the way, it's a great necklace - I'm always getting compliments.

No, they aren't real. That is why it is costume jewelry, not fine jewelry.
