Question about box calf leather

Hi! Just a quick question – from combing through the threads I noted that there is the old box calf leather and new box calf leather. The old box had apparently being re-introduced from 2008 (L). But can someone tell me when this so-called “old” box was first discontinued? i.e. which year stamps indicate the leather was the new box?
(apologies if my question was a bit clumsily structured…)

Yes; the most recent thread on this subject was fairly recent and started by Hermesaholic.

Thanks guys. I did a search, and my feelings is that it was sometime in the 2000’s, but the time/ year was not exact, but its ok, as it was mentioned it was not an “abrupt” change to the newer leather.
