Question about Betty

Looking through the reference threads I saw pics of Betty satchels with what appears to be a pushlock type closure on the side/s. An example is below..these are Balclfen's bags.
My bags don't have these so I'm kind of confused as to why they don't. Can someone help clear this up please.
I'm not worried about authenticity, because of where I buy my bags; however, I would like some sort of clarification on this. Any experts out there?

Hi Pquiles!
The Betty's were originally made with the gold lock closure but this was only a feature for the the first season I believe and now they all have the more simple leather tag zip pull and no lock
