I am so dissapointed. I finally decided to purchase a ring I've wanted for a while. It is a David Yurman Noblesse (large) with Citrine stone. I've just opened the package and I can't believe this ring. For the price , I was expecting something substantial and quality. Sadly, it was not. It was very light weight and the inside of the ring was not finished. I know that materials are higher these days, but wow! Back to Neiman's it goes. Has anyone else noticed this with other brands?

Absolutely.

Items that I thought were well made ten years ago (certain brands) have really slipped up.

I am glad you returned it as you need to be happy with your purchase. You will find something else that meets your standards. Give it time.

The inside of David Yurman rings are never finished. It's one way to spot authenticity. I'd recommend trying one of his rings with more silver. I have three and they're all very substantial and have held up great.

I think jewelry is best purchased when you can actually see it. When I got my first David Yurman, I was not even considering him for a piece of jewelry. I was looking at Judith Ripka and Konstantino. However, this one piece had blue topaz that just GLOWED. It was the 5mm blue topaz cable cuff. It's just gorgeous.
I've looked to add another cuff, but I haven't seen one that has that same glow.
I have worn my bangle almost every day for nearly 4 years and it still glows and is in great shape!
