Quality - LV versus Saint Laurent?

Hi ladies

How do LV and Saint Laurent leather bags compare in terms of quality? The price seems to be comparable. Also, does anyone own the Saint Laurent College Bag (aka the Boyfriend bag) in Medium? Is the magnetic closure strong? Is the leather hardy?

Hey there! I'd recommend you 'stroll' through the YSL subforum. There've been complaints about SLP quality but many others seem to have no issues with their pieces.
Per the college bag, someone put up a YT video review in SLP subforum today and noted the magnet isn't as strong as one might think.

Personally I like LV much better as I have never had any problems with the quality of the bags I have bought. I do not own any YSL bags simply because I didn't like the feeling of the bags I looked at at the store. They are really gorgeous, but for me personally I didn't get the same "luxury" feeling from the bags. So I stick to my favorites, Chanel and LV, for now.

I own 4 Saint Laurent bags, two of them I didn't have a problem with. But one wasn't really what you would expect from a designer brand. And the fourth one is fairly new which is a wallet on chain I didn't carry it yet to see how I like the quality of it and so.
