I'm hoping someone can give me advice or guidance on this issue. My friend bought a WOC in pale pink with SHW for me from Italy about 3 weeks ago. Upon picking it up, I noticed that there's a little gap in the seam, on one of the sides. As opposed to the other side, which looks like it has more secure stitching. The gap is minimal if I don't try to look for it, but after reading stories about quality issues with YSL WOCs lately, particularly with peeling / chipping / glazing issues, I'm concerned it'll only worsen over time, especially with usage from opening and closing the bag. The wear may also become more obvious given the light color. Anyway, would you say the issue is very minimal and just ignore it, or would you suggest I go exchange for another one? This is my first YSL bag and I don't have a good gauge on how the wear and tear is (it seems to be a mixed bag based on what was mentioned from all the posts and videos in my research). And do US stores allow for exchanges on purchases made overseas, and is there a time frame I need to do this by? If not, is this issue covered under warranty? I haven't used the bag yet. TIA!!
On another note, as I mentioned, this is my first YSL bag. I noticed that it doesn't come with an authenticity card or a serial number stamped inside the bag. Is this typical? My friend said that the SA registered the bag for warranty purposes when she made the purchase, but didn't have my address available at the time to give to the SA. So how is the bag registered and looked up (in the future) when there's no serial number? The care booklet does come with a separate piece of white paper with some numbers on it, but it looks like it's the style number and info? Is that paper the authenticity "card"?? I'm not quite sure how to read it, so any pointers would be much appreciated!
