Hey there - this is my first thread in the MK forum.
I'm a former Coach addict who has now turned MK all the way!
I've got 5 MK bags and 2 clutches and am hoping to add bag another soon and need some advice.

I bought the python tote bag in the sand color on Friday night at Macy's. And I already have the Moxley clutch in sand. While I know that I definitely want a python bag, I just don't think the sand tote I bought is the one and I'm going to return it. The only place around me that sells MK is Macy's and they don't have a big selection in the python for me to look at.
So, I've been cruising the bay trying to figure out what style I do want and have come across the large chain id hobo and the large braided grommet. But, the chain ID hobo comes in sand and has white/gold chainlinks and the braided grommet comes in dark sand. (I think I'm leaning more towards the braided grommet style though since I already have the large Chain ID in black python)

Has anyone seen these irl?
Is the chain ID with the white/gold chainlinks more of just a summer purse cuz of the white?
What's the difference between these 2 colors? (sand and dark sand)
Should I also be looking at the honey color?
Is there another python bag you think I should consider?

Help - I'm SO confused, LOL!

WELCOME to the MK forum!!!! I am a former Coach lover, too! and I am an MK python lover!!! (see my avatar) My purse is "sand" python but I have seen the "dark sand" color....I would say the difference b/w the two is that the background beige-y color is darker on the dark sand. Not much of a difference though b/c I held the 2 colors side by side! I have seen both bags you want and they are both gorgeous! The Chain ID hobo I was actually going to buy!!!! To me, the chainlinks look more "ivory....off white" than stark white so I would definitely say it's a year round bag. I have the braided grommet in the luggage leather color and it's a great bag as well! I did not care for the honey color, but that's ME. It's more of a caramelly python where the sand is more of a brown/taupey/beige coloring.....Hope I helped! I LOVE the SSSSSSSSSSSSSnake!!!!!

Now that I know the colors are really similar and that you've seen both bags irl, I just have to decide between the chain id and the braided grommet, hmmmm. :thinkin:

They are BOTH gorgeous bags and you cannot go wrong with either decision! I think you will LOVE whichever one you decide on....PLEASE keep us posted and when you get the bag be sure to post pics!!!!!

I love the sand that Mrs. Mac has in her avatar - the one I'm not fussy about is the "honey python". It doesn't look like a real snake to me, and the whole point of embossed python is to look like the real deal and I find the sand python definitely does - more so than any other embossed python I've seen by any other designer. Not sure about this "dark sand" though.

Whoo hoo! I just bought the Large Python ID Chain hobo in sand. I'm SO excited! Should be here in a few days. I'll take some pics once she arrives.
