52BEBF93-B57B-4D2C-B564-B85EFA402EB0.jpeg I bought this bag, but with python handle, it feels a bit scaly, does anyone have this bag with concerns with the scales falling off? It does makes a cracking noise when touched. Should I keep the bag or return? Thanks,

I can't help you as I don't have a bag with a python handle, but just wanted to say that your bag is absolutely stunning! Hope you get some good feedback.

I know companies make products for exotic snake skin such as protectant spray. From past experience ages ago in owning items such as knife and gun holders python can dry out and the scales can lift. It is common with age no matter how careful one may be. While I never had a python purse/handle I have had some various expensive snakeskin items in the past and they did look beautiful but one always needed to be careful when carrying. Trying to make sure not getting them wet in the rain also storing them properly if you live in a climate with high heat and humidity.

You should be able to find articles on caring for python. Beautiful bag. I personally would not get one with the handles because I feel eventually they would show wear more easily and the look of any raised scales or dryness with use and or age would bother me and take away from the beauty of the bag.

It’s beautiful. Python scales tend to lift over time. Not sure if there is any way to prevent that particularly since it’s the handle on this one. I have the very chain with python handle but I don’t use the handle as it has a long chain strap. If you ever see older bags or shoes in python, you often see lifted scales.

Wow. What a gorgeous piece.

No. Don't worry about python. It's very durable and the scales won't fall off. There's nothing special you need to do to care for the handles that you wouldn't for the rest of the bag.

Enjoy!!!

I have Similiar bag with python handles .When not in use I wrap the handle with soft muslin cloth .The scales don’t make a noise and I don’t feel any difference touching it .I have not put anything special for its care .

I had the same bag, PM Rubis with Python handle. When the scales lifted a bit, I gently wiped down the handle with a damp cloth in the direction of the scales, as to smooth them down and I let it dry. It helped. I also purchased from Amazon Saphir Reptan, a gentle cleaner for reptile bags in general.

I have the same LV capucines bb but in galet. I second periodically conditioning with Saphir Reptan (available on Amazon). Mine doesn't make any noise, and otherwise, no special care. Love the look. Enjoy!
