I got this bag from Fashionphile and I absolutely love it. Size is a bit small but fits all of my essentials and the color is to die for.
Here is the issue, I am scared to touch it. It is python on the handle and flap. The flap worries me most because of the potential for rubbing moving it in and out of the bag.
I don’t mind minor lifting but don’t want to lose scales. Should I return? Too delicate?

I have an LV python bag strap- and I’m very careful with it for the same reason. It’s still in excellent condition- but I don’t wear it often. So definitely delicate- but so so beautiful. I’d keep it.

Exotic bags need to be babied and generally are not used often. If you are okay with that and love the bag, just be careful with it and take the necessary precautions with care and maintenance.
While I admire exotics, I love them from afar. I do not have the patience nor the mindset to take care of them.
I custom ordered a python bag from an Etsy shop to try it out. And very soon, the scales started lifting and peeling even though I tried to prevent it from drying out with reptile leather cream and hardly wore the bag out. I live in Southern California where it is very hot and dry (and I feel it gets drier every year), which probably didn’t help.

Thanks. That helps. I was hoping everyone would say that they aren’t that delicate and they get a bad reputation. Apparently, not the case.
