Hi,
Wondering if anyone else has dealt with this problem with the lighter colour purses. I have a mint green maise, and i baby this purse - always stuffed and in dustbag when not in use, only carry it out on good days, never in the rain - not a single mark or scratch on it. I was looking at it today and there is wear on the fabric where the zipper is all along - it is turning a dirty brown colour. Is there a reason for this, and has anyone else had this? Should I be concerned for all my other purses fabric attached to the zippers?? It looks really bad. Let me know if anyone knows how to clean or prevent this, or if you have experienced this. Thank you!

It is probably from the oils in your hand.

My wallets get some discoloration on the fabric around zipper, usually corners and top where I handle it the most. It's usually minimal and i dont notice it enough to have tried to clean it. I might try some gentle soap and water in a small area. Hopefully someone with more experience cleaning will come along or you can check out the Handbag Care and Maintenance Section as well.

ahh that makes sense. i will wait and see if it gets worse or hear from someone until i try to clean it. thank you!:smile1:
